This course introduces information relating to heat pumps, retail refrigeration (including ice machines) and commercial zoning. With this knowledge, a service technician will be able to troubleshoot retail refrigeration, commercial zoning and ductless splits.
This course provides a solid foundation of knowledge relating to compressors, refrigerants, oils, and the proper handling and usage of refrigerants. After the first three sections of this module have been studied, it would be an appropriate time to review and offer the EPA Clean Air Act Section 608 Test.
